The Director of Human Resources is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for shaping and executing people strategies that support Penn Tank Lines' continued growth, operational excellence, and culture. Serving as the Company's senior Human Resources advisor, this role partners closely with executive leadership to strengthen organizational capability, develop leaders, and ensure compliant, consistent, and effective employment practices across a multi-state transportation environment. This position is ideal for a strategic Human Resources leader who combines strong business acumen with deep employment law expertise. The successful candidate will be a visible and engaged business partner who is comfortable navigating complex employee matters, coaching leaders, driving organizational change, and building a proactive Human Resources function that supports business success. Success in this role requires balancing legal compliance and sound employment practices with practical business judgment, operational partnership, and a commitment to developing strong leaders across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Partner with executive leadership to develop workforce strategies, organizational structure, succession planning, and talent initiatives aligned with business objectives.Lead all Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll oversight, performance management, compliance, HRIS, and employee communications.Develop, implement, and interpret Human Resources policies and programs that promote consistency, accountability, operational effectiveness, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.Serve as the Company's senior advisor on employment law and Human Resources matters, providing guidance on investigations, employee relations, leave administration, accommodations, wage and hour compliance, and employment decisions.Lead and develop the Human Resources team while coaching, challenging, and supporting leaders throughout the organization to strengthen leadership effectiveness and accountability.Drive organizational initiatives that improve leadership capability, Human Resources processes, systems, and the overall employee experience while supporting business growth and organizational change.Analyze workforce metrics, turnover trends, payroll data, and Human Resources analytics to identify opportunities, reduce organizational risk, and support informed business decisions.Champion the Company's "Resilient People" philosophy by developing programs that strengthen leadership, employee engagement, well-being, accountability, and organizational resilience. Salary: Salary starting at $150,000, with final compensation based on qualifications, experience, and overall fit for the role.
