Work Environment

This role is based in a home care setting, allowing you to make a direct and personal impact on patients' lives in the comfort of their own homes. You will work on a structured schedule of 40 hours per week, which may include variable weekends. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive examinations and evaluations of patients to determine their functional capabilities and limitations.
• Creating individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education aimed at optimizing recovery.
• Providing expert consultation to healthcare providers, discussing each patient's continuum of care and ensuring cohesive treatment strategies.
• Maintaining exemplary customer service standards while interacting with a diverse patient demographic.
• Documenting evaluations, treatments, and patient progress, ensuring that all records adhere to applicable laws and professional standards.
• Engaging in collaborative communication with an interdisciplinary team, as well as patients and their families, throughout the treatment process.
• Participating in leadership initiatives like community outreach, quality improvement projects, marketing efforts, and supervision of support staff, while also mentoring new team members.
• Attending professional development opportunities, including continuing education programs, to enhance your competencies and stay current in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will focus on a varied patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will utilize specialized methods tailored to each patient's unique situation, ensuring a holistic approach to care. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping patients regain mobility, achieve their rehabilitation goals, and improve their overall functionality.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation systems to facilitate accurate record-keeping and communication.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
