Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assessing and diagnosing mental health disorders through interview and observation techniques.

• Conducting counseling sessions with individuals, couples, and families to address various challenges such as relationship issues, conflict resolution, and emotional distress.

• Creating tailored treatment plans that suit the unique needs of each patient.

• Facilitating group therapy sessions to enhance interpersonal skills and foster community connections.

• Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate health records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Collaborating with other health care professionals to refer patients for additional specialized services when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with diverse populations, focusing on individuals and families facing a variety of issues, including but not limited to:

• Alcohol and substance abuse challenges.
\n
• Effects of physical and psychological abuse.
\n
• Grief and loss as well as related emotional difficulties.
\n
• Difficulties in family dynamics such as sibling conflicts, cut-offs, and blended family adjustments.

• Challenges related to separation and divorce, including emotional adjustments and co-parenting issues.
\n
• Job stress and its impact on personal and familial relationships.
\n

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
\n
• An active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Virginia.
\n
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
