About the Company

\n

Our partner is a unicorn AI startup building agents that do real accounting work: complex journal entries, reconciliations, technical accounting memos, and more. The company recently raised a nine-figure round at a $1B+ valuation. Its backers include top-tier venture firms and some of the most respected researchers in AI, a rare roster for a company this young.

\n

It already works with some of the largest accounting firms in the world, and it grew entirely through inbound demand. Headcount has grown more than 10% in the past month alone.

The Role

\n

This is the company's first push into outbound, built on a product that already works. As part of the founding BDR team, you'll build the outbound playbook from scratch, with a direct line to BD leadership. Strong performers have an explicit path into closing or leadership.

What You'll Do

\n
    \n
  • Cold call, email, and test messaging to book meetings with CFOs, controllers, and finance leaders
    • \n
  • Experiment with channels and approaches, then systematize what works
    • \n
  • Research and prioritize target accounts using real targeting logic, not just lists
    • \n
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to convert outreach into qualified pipeline
    • \n
  • Bring market intel (objections, competitors, pain points) back to shape positioning and strategy
    • \n

What They're Looking For

\n
    \n
  • Former elite athletes strongly preferred. Collegiate or professional athletes who bring competitive drive, coachability, and resilience
    • \n
  • 0–1 year of sales or outbound experience (new grads and career pivoters welcome)
    • \n
  • Proven grit from high-intensity environments: competitive athletics, IB/PE, high-growth startups, or similar
    • \n
  • High agency and comfort building from first principles without a defined playbook
    • \n
  • Clear communicator who handles pushback and thinks on their feet
    • \n
  • Able to work fully in person in NYC (Flatiron), 5 days a week
    • \n
