Accounts Payable Specialist

Katalyst Group is partnering with an organization in the SW Suburbs to engage an accounts payable specialist to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. The accounts payable specialist will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping them on track, on time, and on good terms with their partners. This is a temporary role lasting 3 - 6 months. Start ASAP. Onsite Daily - 8:30 - 5:00 Pay rate: $25-27/hour Responsibilities Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing - including 2 & 3-way matching Pay invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment Process expense reports from employees; Identify discrepancies and elevate in appropriate manner, if needed Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses Maintain 1099s Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 1 - 2 years in accounting or related field Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills Detail oriented Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Epicor (not required) #J-18808-Ljbffr
