Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, utilizing a telehealth platform that facilitates flexible and accessible mental health care for our clients. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, allowing a structured yet adaptable day-to-day schedule. Working in a digital environment, our therapists make use of advanced telecommunication tools to provide therapy sessions and integrate with our multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct extensive and thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, identifying any co-occurring disorders for appropriate intervention.

• Collaborate with clients to devise tailored treatment plans that merge evidence-based methodologies with unique personal insights, addressing both mental health and substance use challenges.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at equipping clients with essential coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.

• Work in harmony with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and nurses to ensure seamless, integrated, and holistic treatment for clients.

• Performs regular substance use monitoring and employ motivational interviewing techniques to engage and empower clients in their recovery processes.

• Educate clients and their families on the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment protocols.

• Maintain meticulous records of treatment progress, interventions rendered, and client referrals, in full compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and professional training sessions to enhance both personal competency and team efficacy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based practices for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Deep understanding of the complexities involving both mental health and substance-use disorders.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, essential for fostering collaboration within an interdisciplinary mental health team.
