Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to assess patients' trauma histories and identify effective treatment strategies.

• Implement personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience, integrating evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, empowering patients to explore and process their trauma while building essential coping mechanisms and promoting healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure cohesive and integrated care for all patients, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available coping mechanisms, and accessible community resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Family Matters Health Care Clinic, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes, but is not limited to, those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be critical in helping these clients navigate their path towards recovery, promoting healing, and supporting their mental health needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Proven experience with delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions tailored to patient needs.
