Administrative Assistant - Receptionist

Job Title Administrative Assistant – Receptionist Location Phoenix, AZ Employment Type Contract – Onsite Rate $18/hr on W2 Position Description Seneca Resources is seeking a professional and customer-focused Administrative Assistant – Receptionist for a 100% onsite role in Phoenix, Arizona. This position supports a public sector client and serves as the primary front desk contact, providing exceptional service to walk-in members and visitors. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, public-facing environment. This role is well-suited for individuals with prior receptionist or administrative experience who take pride in delivering a positive first impression and supporting daily office operations. Work Schedule Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 hours per week Key Responsibilities Serve as the front desk receptionist, welcoming and assisting walk-in members and visitors. Respond to basic member inquiries and direct questions or concerns to the appropriate staff. Maintain visitor logs and ensure a professional, secure reception area. Log, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail. Receive, log, and route incoming checks in accordance with established procedures. Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Member Services Division as needed. Support office operations by assisting with scheduling, documentation, and recordkeeping. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information. Required Skills / Education Minimum 1 year of experience in a front desk receptionist or administrative assistant role. High School Diploma or GED required. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Clear verbal communication and professional demeanor. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn internal systems. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work 100% onsite in Phoenix, AZ (local candidates only).
