Key Responsibilities\n

• Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with patients, fostering a safe space for open communication.

• Perform comprehensive assessments to diagnose and treat mental health disorders, formulating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

• Conduct regular counseling sessions with individuals and couples to provide ongoing support and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on patient progress.

• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment, conducting assessments to track their progress and adapting methodologies as appropriate.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated care and refer clients to specialists when additional support is needed.

• Utilize evidence-based practices tailored to each patient’s needs, focusing on therapeutic models relevant to couples and family dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work closely with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and more. Your empathy and expertise in family dynamics will be essential in helping clients navigate their personal journeys towards healing and improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A valid LMFT license in the state of New York is required.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is essential for this position.

• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health treatment modalities and thorough understanding of ethical guidelines in therapy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients and deliver empathetic care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
