Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the overall health and well-being of patients by conducting thorough assessments and health reviews.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and meticulously review patient medical records to inform treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests and X-rays to facilitate timely and accurate diagnoses.
• Engage in continuous professional development and research to stay up-to-date with advancements in primary and family care.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with chronic and infectious diseases, considering individual needs and preferences.
• Prescribe medications, ensuring careful monitoring of patient responses, and adjust medications as necessary based on clinical evaluations.
• Diagnose and treat a wide variety of health conditions and illnesses while adhering to the scope of family medicine.
• Promote healthy lifestyle practices and emphasize preventive care strategies to enhance patients' long-term health outcomes.
• Maintain organized and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with all relevant health regulations.
• Provide education to patients and their families on various health topics, including preventive measures and management of conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily focus on a diverse patient population at our surgical center, which includes individuals seeking surgical consultations as well as ongoing primary care. You will engage with patients across various demographics, fostering trust and enhancing their overall experience through compassionate and informed healthcare. Your role will be critical in ensuring continuity of care for post-operative patients and those requiring follow-up treatments.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active New York state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physician Assistant in a family health clinic or similar medical setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in family medicine with extensive clinical experience in primary care.
• Strong familiarity with health regulations and patient-care standards.
• Exceptional communication skills, with an aptitude for interacting effectively with patients and their families.
• Proactive and ethical approach to patient-centered care.

• Must possess a valid DEA number, enabling you to prescribe medications.

Compensation and Benefits
