Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find an attentive direct-hire AP Specialist in the east of downtown Houston area (77011) . This position requires attention to detail, comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable, and an ability to follow standard procedures

As an AP Specialist youll be responsible for:
- Daily monitoring of the AP e-mail for vendor invoices
- Printing and scanning invoices
- Obtaining invoice approval
- Proper G/L coding of invoice
- Purchase Order receipt of invoice
- Review AP Aging for invoices due for payment
- Obtain approval for payment batch
- Upload payment files to bank for ACH payments
- Follow a vendor checklist for month end close to ensure all invoices have been entered or accrued
- Monitor AP aging and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Reconcile vendor statements; Research and resolve any discrepancies
- Reconcile credit card statements
- Assist with 1099 process
- Assist Accounts Payable Manager with audit requests and/or special projects
- 5+ years of high volume AP invoice processing
- ERP experience Microsoft Dynamics preferred
- $25/hr
