Hands On Portland
Planting at Chehalem Ridge (age 5+) Metro manages more than 19,000 acres of parks and natural areas, including 17 parks, 14 historic cemeteries and three boat ramps. Participants will help restore this former tree farm into a healthy forest, providing habitat to endangered and critical species. By participating in this activity you are helping restore nature habitat while building community through stewardship. About the Project Participants will help plant native plants and shrubs along the Woodland Trail, restore a former tree farm to a healthy forest. All tools and supplies will be provided. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about other projects and activities occurring onsite and how to get involved. Age: Volunteers must be 18+; under 5 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone. Notices Referral Opportunity: This opportunity is run directly by one of our nonprofit partners.
