Permanent Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery | (Night Shift)

Location: Irving, TX

Pay Rate: $32.00 – $53.00 per hour (based on experience) + Shift Differential

Bonus Potential: Up to $7,500 Sign-On Bonus for eligible external candidates (2+ years RN experience) | Relocation assistance available (50+ miles)

Schedule: Permanent Full-Time | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent night shift position in Irving, TX. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers and infants through high-stakes labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.

• Monitor, interpret, and document fetal heart patterns and maternal vital signs, initiating appropriate interventions immediately as needed.

• Collaborate closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal maternal-fetal outcomes.

• Educate patients and family members on the labor process, delivery options, and early postnatal/newborn care.

• Support and advocate for a unit-wide culture of safety, maintaining meticulous and compliant EHR documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN).

• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or Compact State).

• Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of L&D or Antepartum RN experience (Level II or higher facility experience preferred).

• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

• Specialized Training: AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (required within 30 days of hire/transfer).
