Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a experienced Registered Nurse for a 3x12 hour day shift on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant experience, including familiarity with Epic charting and telemetry patient care.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Provide high-quality patient care tailored to a diverse adult through geriatric population.
  
  
• 
  Utilize Epic electronic health record system for accurate documentation and charting.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and assess patient vitals and responses, adjusting care plans accordingly.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate patient treatments and discharge planning.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to safety protocols, including NIHSS and BLS certifications, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Maintain patient ratios of 1:6, ensuring individualized attention and care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active state or compact RN license at the time of submittal.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 2 years of RN experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in Epic charting software.
  
  
• 
  Be certified in BLS and NIHSS prior to start.
  
  
• 
  Show ability to manage patient care in a fast-paced, acute care environment with appropriate clinical judgment.
