Springside Infusion is transforming how patients in Maryland experience specialty infusion care. Our growing network of outpatient infusion centers delivers high-quality, physician-prescribed infusion therapy in comfortable, accessible settings -- reducing the burden on hospital systems while improving the patient experience.
We work across a range of specialty therapeutic areas partnering closely with referring physicians to ensure patients receive seamless, coordinated care. The Opportunity
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across our western Maryland territory, with a primary focus on the Frederick and Silver Spring markets. This is a relationship-first, field-based role for a healthcare sales professional who understands the specialty infusion landscape and is energized by the opportunity to build something meaningful.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for referring physicians and their teams, educating healthcare professionals on the Springside Infusion model, building trust with key stakeholders, and ensuring patients have a clear, supported path to therapy.
This is a field-based role with 3-4 days per week of in-territory activity expected. The ideal candidate will be based within the Frederick or Silver Spring area or within reasonable proximity. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain a referral network across specialty practices
- Educate physicians and office staff on Springside's clinical capabilities, patient experience, and referral process
- Guide patients and providers through the journey from referral to treatment, removing access and reimbursement barriers through ongoing account analysis and stakeholder engagement
- Develop trusted, long-term relationships with physicians, APPs, and office staff
- Build and execute strategic account plans tailored to each practice's dynamics
- Anticipate and proactively address business challenges, access concerns, and competitive dynamics with professionalism and integrity
- Serve as the territory expert on competitive and payer dynamics, partnering cross-functionally with clinical and operations teams to support a seamless patient and provider experience
- Support Springside's regional expansion initiatives in full compliance with healthcare regulatory and ethics standards
What We Are Looking For
- 3-7 years of experience in healthcare business development, specialty sales, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in two or more of the following: infusion therapy, specialty pharmacy, biologics, buy-and-bill, rare disease, medical device, or diagnostic services
- Direct experience working with specialty practices (rheumatology, gastroenterology, allergy/immunology, or similar) strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of the buy-and-bill model, specialty pharmacy distribution, and outpatient infusion operations
- Demonstrated ability to build referral relationships based on trust, clinical credibility, and consistent follow-through
- Strong business development instincts with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort presenting to diverse clinical and administrative audiences with confidence and professionalism
- Working knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and drive results

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: up to $130,000 per year DOE
- Annual Performance Bonus: Up to 20% of base salary, based on individual and company performance
