Work Environment

You will work onsite at our well-equipped outpatient clinic located in the vibrant city of Fort Lauderdale. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical history and performing specific assessments to identify the best treatment approaches.
• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans effectively to patients and their families to ensure full understanding and active involvement in the rehabilitation process.
• Implement tailored treatment protocols that are based on initial evaluations and adjust plans according to patients' evolving needs and responses to therapy.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary, documenting any changes in patient conditions that might require modifications to care plans.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care while ensuring thorough documentation of patient interactions and progress reports to maintain compliance with evolving healthcare standards.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills and consistently meet productivity expectations while maintaining an organized schedule.
• Engage in marketing activities within the hospital and community to promote the clinic's services and foster patient relationships.
• Contribute to departmental objectives and engage in self-directed continuing education to enhance professional competence and clinical skills.
• Uphold a high standard of customer care and facilitate access to services through flexible and adaptive approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will mainly work with outpatient clients facing a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. The patient demographic encompasses diverse age groups and backgrounds, emphasizing the need for personalized care strategies that address individual rehabilitation goals, from post-surgical recovery to chronic pain management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida is mandatory.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers is required.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
