Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Emergency Aid in Penns Grove, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a critical utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to routine security-related needs with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or utility-site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility operations areas, administrative buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
