Grace Place Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our compassionate team in providing quality mental health care. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to reach clients through our telehealth platform. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through initial consultations and ongoing evaluations to monitor client progress.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, integrating evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to client preferences.
• Consistently monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary, ensuring effective care throughout the recovery process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Provide follow-up care and support to clients transitioning from inpatient to outpatient settings, ensuring a smooth and supportive transition.
• Assist clients and their families in recognizing and managing behaviors that hinder recovery, developing practical coping strategies.
• Offer guidance and support to family members and caregivers, helping them navigate mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with adults experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our diverse clientele comes from various backgrounds, and you will be instrumental in providing culturally sensitive care that respects each individual's unique experiences and perspectives.

Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of New Jersey.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on empathetic listening and clear articulation of ideas.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Mental Health Counselor in clinical settings, particularly in telehealth or virtual environments.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AVATAR, facilitating accurate documentation and case management.
• Experience in addressing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, demonstrating a well-rounded understanding of clients’ needs.
• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology and how it pertains to clients under your care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
