Exciting Opportunity for a Cardiac Internist

Our organization is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Internist to join our Cardiology department at our facility in Mason City, Iowa. This role primarily involves providing support within the clinic to facilitate access and follow-up appointments for patients.

• Become part of a dynamic team consisting of 10 physicians, 10 fellows, and 7 nurse practitioners.
• Engage in a practice that encompasses inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.
• Your schedule will include three weeks per month in the Heart Center clinic and one week on the hospital's cardiovascular telemetry floor.
• The MercyOne Heart Center provides a comprehensive array of cardiology services, including non-invasive, invasive, interventional, and electrophysiology, in collaboration with cardiac and vascular surgery.
• Gain valuable experience alongside our Cardiology fellowship program, which includes three residents annually and one interventional Cardiology fellow each year.
• Cardiac Internists have the opportunity to apply for the Cardiology Fellowship.
• Participate in outreach initiatives at one of our 10 critical access hospitals within our 14-county network.
• Our primary service area serves approximately 260,000 residents.
• Work at a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital, recognized as a Level III Trauma Center with a fully staffed emergency department available 24/7, along with advanced catheterization labs.
• Our team is dedicated to delivering compassionate, effective care for cardiovascular diseases and promoting overall health.

• Base Salary: $300,000 annually
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $15,000

• Must be a graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school.
• Completion of a relevant residency program is required, with board certification or eligibility preferred.
• Ability to obtain medical staff privileges at our facility is necessary.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
• Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, along with an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
