Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Providing trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, and families via virtual platforms.
\n
• Incorporating faith-based counseling principles into sessions for clients who seek a spiritual approach to their mental health.

• Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, goals, and backgrounds.

• Delivering counseling services to clients referred by local partner churches, enhancing community ties and support.

• Engaging in community outreach initiatives to effectively build your caseload and establish new referral sources.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers and clinical counselors, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Maintaining accurate client records and timely updates in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Communicating transparently with the center director regarding client scheduling, case management, and personal availability.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse array of clients from various demographic backgrounds. Our client base includes individuals and families facing emotional and psychological struggles, trauma, and life transitions. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
\n
• Independently licensed as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Washington, or within 200 hours of completing residency.
\n
• A strong understanding of Biblical counseling techniques and a commitment to integrating faith into therapeutic practices.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to varied client needs.
\n
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to counseling with a focus on maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of one year of trauma counseling experience is required, the ideal candidate will also have:

• Previous experience with community outreach or partnership development, particularly with local faith-based organizations.

• Training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or a willingness to complete the basic training within three months of hire.

• A strong background in various therapeutic modalities to effectively tailor treatment approaches to individual clients.

• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is highly desired but not mandatory.
