Key Responsibilities\n

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients’ specific needs and goals related to their relationship with alcohol.

• Provide therapy using evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.

• Facilitate weekly therapy sessions with patients, either one-on-one or in group settings, fostering a safe environment where clients can openly discuss their challenges.

• Encourage the use of community recovery support options (e.g., AA, Smart Recovery) to complement therapeutic treatment, emphasizing their role in the recovery process.

• Maintain detailed documentation of client progress and treatment efficacy in line with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in optional monthly peer group sessions to foster professional development and collaboration with fellow counselors.

• Manage scheduling proactively, with no minimum hours required, while being compensated for late cancellations or no-shows.

Your clients will include individuals who are looking for support in altering their relationship with alcohol, from those who seek moderation to those aiming for complete abstinence. You will be expected to work with a diverse group of patients, recognizing their unique backgrounds and experiences, which can include various cultural and socioeconomic factors that impact their mental health needs.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid license as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMFT, or LMHC in the state of New York.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Our competitive salary ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
