Job Details Type: Travel Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Location: Columbus, OH Start Date: 10/5/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30) Weekly Hours: 36 hours Weekend Coverage: Required, approximately 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks Floating: Required within the organization as needed Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Charting System: Epic Orientation: 36 hours Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience Current compact or Ohio state RN license in hand at time of submission Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required Epic experience preferred or required Strong background in telemetry, cardiac drips, and stepdown/PCU nursing Ability to care for adult patients with complex cardiac and respiratory diagnoses Comfortable floating to other units within the organization as needed ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing education required 2 professional references required, including at least 1 supervisor, manager, or director reference Responsibilities Provide skilled bedside care for adult cardiac stepdown and progressive care patients Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias in a fast-paced clinical environment Administer and titrate cardiac and insulin drips per protocol Manage patients requiring BiPAP, CPAP, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway support Perform and assist with central line, PICC line, peripheral IV, and feeding tube care Care for ventilated patients and support tracheostomy management when needed Administer blood products and maintain isolation precautions Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and support rapid response/code teams as needed Why This Travel Nursing Job?
