Alexander Wang Manager, Site Merchandising

Summary: The Manager, Site Merchandising will drive the growth of alexanderwang.com and select marketplace channels, blending commercial performance with a strong creative and storytelling lens. Reporting to the Director, Ecommerce Operations, this role oversees daily site operations while crafting compelling digital narratives that bring the brand to life, partnering cross-functionally to curate assortments, enhance the customer journey, and optimize traffic, conversion, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own visual merchandising strategy and execution across PLPs, category pages, and key landing pages.
• Curate product assortment, ranking, and storytelling to reflect seasonal narratives and brand priorities.
• Partner closely with Creative, Art Direction, and Styling teams to define the look and feel of the site.
• Translate campaign concepts into on-site experiences across homepage, PLPs, and editorial content.
• Define and manage the site merchandising calendar aligned with brand and campaign moments.
• Lead creative QA of the site, ensuring excellence in imagery, styling, and layout.
• Continuously evolve the customer journey through storytelling and product discovery.
• Collaborate with Ecommerce and Analytics teams to apply performance insights to merchandising decisions.
• Partner with Digital Marketing to align landing pages with campaign intent and creative direction.
• Monitor competitive landscape and digital merchandising trends in luxury fashion.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of experience in e-commerce; luxury fashion or premium brand experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus.
• Experience writing technical specifications and functional requirements.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify or similar commerce/CMS platforms; experience with BI tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices and customer-centric technologies.
• Hands-on experience with third-party platforms such as agencies, SaaS vendors, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, affiliate networks, and email service providers.
• Background in fashion, design, merchandising, or another creative discipline strongly preferred.
• Strong visual and aesthetic judgment, with an understanding of luxury brand positioning and storytelling.
• Ability to balance creative intuition with data-driven decision making.
• Experience collaborating with creative teams (e.g., art direction, styling, content production) is highly desirable.

In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential salary for this position is from $75,000 to $85,000, which represents a range commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.
