With operations in the United States and China, Denton provides thin film deposition solutions used for a wide array of applications used in the optoelectronics market including precision optical filters, lasers, IR detectors, sensors and micro-displays. Denton’s technology portfolio includes sputtering, e-beam & thermal evaporation, ion-beam-assisted deposition (IBAD) and plasma-enhanced-chemical-vapor deposition (PECVD). Denton US Operations include a modern factory and applications lab located in Moorestown, NJ. Job Summary The Buyer/Planner is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials, components, and equipment necessary for the manufacturing process. This position offers a competitive salary range of $55,000-$58,000. Develop and implement sourcing strategies for raw materials, components, and equipment to support manufacturing needs. Research and identify qualified suppliers based on criteria such as quality, cost, reliability, and delivery capabilities. Generate request for quotation, negotiates with and selects suppliers. Create and place purchase orders for goods and services understanding customer timelines. Issue purchase orders and manage vendors to deliver as required to meet production schedule collaborating with engineering and production. Expedite late purchase orders and update delivery dates Monitor supplier performance, including tracking quality, delivery times, and pricing to ensure consistent supply chain performance. Track inventory levels and proactively manage stockouts to ensure uninterrupted production flow. Work with suppliers and/or freight carriers to ensure on-time delivery. Proactively identify, communicate, and assist with resolving materials issues. Identify and pursue cost-saving opportunities through negotiations and value analysis with suppliers. Maintain Part Number ERP record for accurate vendor information, pricing, lead-time, ship methods, terms, etc. Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation to ensure compliance and support audits or reviews. Other duties as required. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, APICS CSP/CPIM or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing procurement or a similar role. Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, negotiation techniques, and contract management processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement effective purchasing solutions. Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (preferred). Knowledge of quality control principles and procedures (a plus) to ensure materials meet production standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
