Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while still receiving the highest level of support from our administrative and clinical teams. Our therapists work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient scheduling needs. As a mental health therapist at Sunshine Counseling Center, you will have access to advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline your workflow, enhancing both patient care and your day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patients’ unique needs and develop customized treatment plans based on the latest research and best practice guidelines.

• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver individualized and group therapies tailored to meet clients’ specific challenges.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups, offering participants a sense of community and shared understanding around mental health issues.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and clinical psychologists, to ensure holistic and coordinated care for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate and effective assistance.
\n
• Educate clients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and relevant community resources to empower their recovery journey.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards, facilitating quality clinical care.

• Engage actively in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing your insights and experiences to enhance overall therapeutic services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our services cater to individuals, couples, and families, with a strong emphasis on reaching underserved populations in the Houston area. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
\n
• Proven experience conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment plans.

• Skilled in delivering both individual and group therapy to a diverse range of clients.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build rapport with clients.

• Sound judgment and understanding of professional ethics and boundaries.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications necessary for clinical documentation and communication.

• A collaborative spirit, capable of working alongside a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

• Previous experience in an outpatient or community health clinic setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 yearly, based on experience and qualifications.
