Work Environment

The role will be performed onsite at our dedicated rehabilitation facility located in Lorton, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing evaluations to inform treatment strategies, ensuring compliance with best practices and state guidelines.
• Assess the mobility, strength, and overall function of each patient to develop realistic, individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving specific rehabilitation goals.
• Create both short-term and long-term treatment protocols that incorporate the involvement of other healthcare staff members and engage patients and caregivers actively.
• Implement treatment plans through regular patient therapy sessions, continuously monitoring and adjusting based on patient progress and feedback.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in line with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and reviewing current literature to stay at the forefront of orthopedic physical therapy.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain an inviting and organized environment that enhances the overall experience for patients seeking rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role predominantly focuses on a diverse patient population recovering from various orthopedic injuries, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will work closely with individuals ranging from young athletes to older adults, adapting treatment modalities to fit their unique needs. Your ability to motivate and uplift patients while adhering to safety protocols will be pivotal in helping them meet their recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Master's or Doctorate is preferred.
• A valid and active Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with AED training.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing orthopedic physical therapy services.
• Demonstrated empathy, a strong understanding of the physical therapy practice, and the ability to empower patients to achieve safe recovery outcomes.
• Familiarity with physical therapy equipment, along with best practices for usage and maintenance.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years is required, candidates with additional experience in specialized areas of physical therapy or with advanced certifications in orthopedic rehabilitation techniques will be highly regarded. Ability to implement modern technology in therapy settings will also be a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
