Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist in Home Care

Corewell Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist who will play a pivotal role in assisting patients on their path to recovery. Work Environment

The position is on-site and housed in a supportive team environment, comprising two physical therapists and one PTA. You'll work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide a seamless continuity of care, ensuring our patients receive the best possible treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Identifying and addressing each patient's unique goals and requirements.
• Managing an individualized patient caseload, providing dedicated care to one patient per hour.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment techniques to enhance patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Developing tailored care plans that incorporate a variety of treatment methodologies.
• Designing personalized fitness and wellness programs that cater to the specific needs of each patient.
• Working to minimize reliance on medications and explore non-surgical alternatives for effective recovery.
• Documenting all patient interactions and treatment services thoroughly to ensure accurate tracking of progress.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients who are recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or general musculoskeletal conditions. This target demographic includes a wide range of ages and activity levels, from athletes seeking to return to their sport to older adults looking to regain their mobility and independence. Your expertise will empower patients to overcome obstacles and achieve their health goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctorate of Physical Therapy (PT) from an accredited physical therapy program endorsed by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) from the Physical Therapy Examining Committee, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Preferred Experience

While we are looking for qualified candidates, preference will be given to those who have:

• At least one year of experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating familiarity with the specific challenges and treatment modalities relevant to this patient population.
