Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our comprehensive Rehabilitation Center, encompassing a spacious 5000 square foot facility equipped with advanced tools and technology tailored for sports and orthopedic rehabilitation. You will work within a collaborative environment alongside a small team of two fellow physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, ensuring an integrated approach to patient outcomes. Our work schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while making a significant impact in patients' rehabilitation journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to outline patient goals and establish individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations.
• Effectively manage a caseload of patients, delivering one-on-one therapy sessions focusing on orthopedic concerns.
• Utilize diverse treatment techniques to optimize the range of motion and increase mobility in patients recovering from injuries or surgeries.
• Implement effective pain management strategies that prioritize reducing reliance on medications by exploring non-surgical interventions.
• Develop and execute tailored fitness and wellness programs aligned with patients' specific rehabilitation needs.
• Provide guidance and motivation to patients throughout their recovery processes, fostering an environment of encouragement and support.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive care coordination and patient progress tracking.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans thoroughly to maintain clear and organized patient records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Sierra Orthopedic Clinic, you will primarily work with patients who have undergone orthopedic procedures, experienced sports-related injuries, and are seeking effective rehabilitation methods. Our patient demographic consists mainly of individuals with private medical insurance, allowing for a focus on personalized care over volume, ensuring every patient receives the dedicated attention they deserve.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• A clean professional record, free from any disciplinary actions or board investigations against your license.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques is preferred.
• Proficient in creating and implementing exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record software, particularly WebPT, is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Prior work experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is desirable to ensure familiarity with the unique demands of this role.
• Experience in fabricating custom orthotics or using therapeutic modalities will be a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
