Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a collaborative and dynamic rehabilitation facility located in the vibrant community of Woodbridge, Virginia. Our facility features state-of-the-art equipment and therapy areas designed to facilitate effective treatment, making it conducive for both staff and patients. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, fostering a healthy work-life balance for our employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions through detailed assessments and functional tests to determine their rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that incorporate a mix of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and advanced rehabilitation equipment.
• Set and continually adjust measurable goals focused on patient progress and specific recovery objectives, ensuring they align with best practices in physical therapy.
• Provide treatment to 1-2 patients per hour, closely monitoring their response to various therapeutic interventions and making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records using an electronic medical record (EMR) system, ideally WebPT, to track treatment plans, patient progress, and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on orthopedic rehabilitation, particularly for patients recovering from hand injuries, surgeries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with a diverse group of individuals, ranging from athletes looking to return to their sport, to elderly patients seeking relief from chronic pain conditions. Your efforts will significantly impact their physical independence and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with a Master's or Doctorate strongly preferred.
• An active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Proven experience (minimum of 2 years) in an outpatient orthopedic setting with a solid foundation in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates should have a strong background in advanced orthopedic rehabilitation techniques, knowledge of evidence-based practice, and a passion for continuous learning in the field. Experience with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, is also considered a valuable asset.

Compensation and Benefits
