Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite, primarily providing home care services throughout Woodbridge, VA. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals while building meaningful relationships with patients and their families. Our facility has all the necessary tools and resources to support your work, including access to electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient documentation and communication. Your schedule will typically be weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate physical function and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and manual therapy techniques tailored to each patient's specific orthopedic needs.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, home care strategies, and the use of assistive devices, ensuring they are equipped to participate in their recovery.
• Continuously monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Prioritize and manage your caseload effectively, ensuring timely and quality care delivery.
• Coordinate with physicians and other health care providers to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on adult and pediatric patients with orthopedic needs, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and age-related mobility challenges. As a Physical Therapist at Go Motion, your goal is to empower patients of all ages to achieve their highest level of functional independence and enhance their quality of life through targeted therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• Valid and current licensing as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, demonstrating compliance with state regulations.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic settings, showcasing your capability in providing specialized therapy services.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques and successful development of personalized exercise programs that optimize patient outcomes.
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as WebPT to ensure accurate documentation and streamlined communication with the healthcare team.
• A clean disciplinary record, indicative of your professionalism and adherence to ethical standards in practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a home care setting, providing therapy directly to patients in their residences.

Compensation and Benefits
