Position Overview

Fit Movement Physical Therapy & Wellness is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Fairfax, Virginia. This full-time role focuses on helping patients regain mobility and achieve their peak functional capabilities through targeted rehabilitation strategies. Your primary responsibility will involve the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients dealing with orthopedic conditions, enhancing their quality of life through evidence-based practices.

Our state-of-the-art 5000 square feet rehabilitation center is equipped with advanced technology and specialized resources to support our clients' recovery journeys. As a PT-owned facility, we prioritize a collaborative approach to patient treatment, emphasizing teamwork among our staff, which includes experienced physical therapists and physical therapist aides.

Work Environment

This role is entirely onsite in our dedicated rehabilitation center, where you will be part of a supportive team environment comprised of two physical therapists and one physical therapist aide (PTA). Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Our facility is designed to foster healing and recovery, from treatment rooms to exercise areas, facilitating a wide array of therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients upon arrival, efficiently identifying their needs and objectives concerning treatment.
• Manage an individual caseload, offering personalized care for each patient, typically scheduling one patient every hour.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans utilizing diverse treatment modalities aimed at improving patient mobility.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols effectively, demonstrating expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Encourage patients by motivating them to achieve their personal health goals while reducing reliance on medications and exploring non-surgical interventions.
• Design and execute tailored fitness and wellness programs to suit individual patient needs, focusing on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Document all patient care services thoroughly, ensuring accurate records are maintained to monitor progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care, strengthening communication and treatment strategies.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans based on continuous assessments and feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, encompassing a diverse patient demographic ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults rehabilitating post-surgery. You will play a critical role in supporting patients through their unique challenges, helping them restore movement and regain confidence to return to their daily activities.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• A valid Virginia state license as a Physical Therapist, maintaining a clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• A strong foundation in manual therapy techniques, coupled with the ability to develop and execute individualized exercise protocols.
• Experience in using WebPT EMR Software for patient documentation and care management.

Preferred Experience

It is preferred that candidates have direct experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings, allowing for a seamless transition into our fast-paced practice. An understanding of current rehabilitation trends and techniques will also be beneficial in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
