This role is designed to be fully remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a supportive outpatient office structure. You will have the autonomy to create your own schedule, typically working Monday through Friday, with the possibility of weekends as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Valiant Mind Counseling Center, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and crisis intervention assessments to inform effective care strategies.
\n
• Develop tailored treatment plans based on clinical assessments and patient needs, ensuring appropriate referral to various levels of mental health care.
\n
• Complete all documentation, including statistical reports and treatment notes, in compliance with both organizational policies and state regulations.
\n
• Collaborate closely with external agencies, such as the Department of Corrections, to coordinate access to care for clients requiring additional support.
\n
• Lead group therapy sessions, providing both therapeutic engagement and education to clients in assigned units.
\n
• Participate in clinical supervision on a weekly basis to continuously improve practice and enhance professional development.
\n
• Engage in case conferences to actively contribute to patient treatment planning discussions and progress evaluations.
\n
• Occasionally conduct psychological testing, providing insights that inform treatment progress and client understanding.
\n
• Supervise social work interns or student volunteers, offering guidance and support as they learn best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily involve working with adult clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and adjustment issues. You will provide care from a holistic perspective, considering social, environmental, psychological, and cultural factors that influence your clients' mental health. Your ability to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship will be paramount in supporting client engagement and progress through their treatment journey.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• A valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Proven experience in mental health counseling, with the ability to perform assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure effective collaboration and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• Experience working with high-risk populations, especially those involved in the criminal justice system.

Compensation and Benefits\n
