Job Opportunity – Acute Care RN / Hematology-Oncology – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; weekends variable based on unit needs; staffing ratio goal of 1:4 (may flex to 1:5)

Highlights:

• Specialize in caring for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients in a 24-bed hematology-oncology unit
• No chemotherapy certification required (ONS Chemo Cert preferred but not mandatory)
• Rotating 12-hour shifts with assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs
• High-acuity environment with emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention
• Epic electronic medical record system; telemetry monitoring with interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Comprehensive orientation of 72 hours; interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience with at least 1 year of PCU/Step-Down experience (must be current and consistent within the last 12 months)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line management, PICC line management, and starting IVs
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
