Partnerships Leader

Position Title Partnerships Leader Location New York, NY | Richmond, VA (Position will be based in either location) About the Role Seeking a Partnerships Leader to drive and nurture Carrier and Affinity relationships while ensuring a seamless partner experience. Ideal for professionals experienced in Carrier Partnerships, Affinity Partnerships, Relationship Management, Life/LTC or P&C Insurance, or Client Success roles. Responsibilities Own and manage Carrier and Affinity partner relationships, including business development, onboarding, revenue targets, and exit. Oversee partner P&L, revenue growth, expense use, and product expansion. Grow existing third‑party distribution relationships and optimize engagement and adoption. Build relationships with key client members to drive trust and shared‑goal mindsets. Identify growth opportunities, cross‑sell initiatives, and support partner campaigns. Collaborate with product and engineering teams on technical requirements for implementation. Serve as Voice of the Partner in internal prioritization and roadmap sessions. Own reporting, issue resolution, process improvements, and develop KPIs and metrics. Provide corrective action support or exit partnerships that no longer provide value. Lead business development initiatives for new carrier and affinity partnerships. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Partnerships, Business Development, Life/General & P&C Insurance, or Relationship Management. Proven experience negotiating partner deals, pitches, proposals, and contracts. Strong analytical mindset with data‑driven reporting and optimization. Strategic thinker able to identify macro trends and implement winning strategies. Experience managing teams and building talent through coaching and autonomy. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for internal and external relationships. Project management skills to oversee multiple partnerships simultaneously. Desired understanding of insurance industry and/or affinity distribution, key terms, and economic models. Ability to travel occasionally (estimated 20‑30%). Compensation Annual base salary ranges: National: $134,600 – $209,000

NYC: $168,300 – $261,000

Position eligible to participate in a bonus incentive plan. Incentive compensation is based on individual and company performance and is not guaranteed.
