Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Miller Behavioral Services, your day-to-day tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitating Group Therapy: Conduct engaging group therapy sessions that create a safe and supportive atmosphere for clients to share their experiences and learn from one another. You will encourage participation and foster connections among participants.

• Providing Individual Therapy: Offer personalized therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each client. This may involve exploring challenging thoughts and feelings, developing coping strategies, and forming actionable steps toward recovery.

• Creating Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans that address their specific mental health needs and preferences. Your thoroughness will help ensure that critical areas of concern are tackled effectively.

• Monitoring Progress: Utilize various assessment tools and feedback methods to track and evaluate clients' progress continuously. This will require meticulous documentation and regular check-ins to adapt treatment strategies as needed.

• Collaborating with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with other mental health professionals, sharing insights and coordinating care to optimize outcomes for clients. Regular communication and consultation on complex cases will be essential to meet best practices in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with young adults aged 18 to 30 who are seeking support through our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). These clients often face a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and interpersonal difficulties. Your role in their healing process is instrumental, providing relatable guidance and expert insights that inspire hope and promote resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.

• Licensure as a Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with telehealth platforms is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
