Exciting opportunities await for skilled Special Education Teachers seeking a rewarding contract position in an educational setting. This full-time role is onsite, offering five openings—four at the elementary level and one at the middle school level. The assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
Your work will have a meaningful impact, supporting students in an urban environment and fostering growth through hands-on instruction. Success in this position requires dedication to best practices, strong classroom management, and a genuine commitment to each student’s development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active special education certification or licensure appropriate for the caseload
- Bachelor’s degree required for emergency teaching permit eligibility
- Prior experience in a school setting, ideally within an urban environment
- Mastery of special education subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials
- Strong classroom and behavioral management abilities
- Familiarity with current state and district standards and assessments
- Ability to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
- Reliable transportation to and from site
- Willingness to commit to the designated onsite hours without schedule accommodations
- Comfortable working within district frameworks and specific location nuances
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district standards
- Utilize formative assessments and differentiation in instruction
- Create a positive, productive, and safe classroom environment
- Adapt content and strategies to support every learner’s needs
