Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Brooklyn N, NY

Position Summary The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is a critical role in our unique customer model, dedicated to driving demand for BMS medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio. The TAS engages healthcare providers (HCPs) with a differentiated customer experience through scientific dialogue, aligning with product labeling and leveraging new ways of working. The role builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians, serving as the primary point of contact for HCPs and related stakeholders. The TAS liaison with other BMS functions to deliver an overall higher customer experience, prioritizing the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while driving business results and performance objectives. The position is field‑based, and the TAS is expected to spend 100% of their time in the field with external customers. Key Responsibilities Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets. Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients. Maintain and grow scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas. Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans. Use available tools such as CE^3 to derive insights, inform call plans, and provide feedback to leadership for continuous improvement. Demonstrate scientific expertise and passion in using approved scientific resources to present accurate, label‑consistent information to HCPs. Conduct in‑office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discuss product‑related scientific information with HCPs. Organize external speaker programs, selecting speakers from the approved Speakers Bureau and facilitating scheduling and logistics. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging data for approved indications. Engage real‑time medical support through Medical on Call to address unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries. Collaborate proactively with other field teams to ensure the best customer experience for HCPs. Share relevant insights and information internally with appropriate stakeholders to enable BMS to better serve customers. Required Qualifications & Experience Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing. Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients. Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and other influence network members. Experience in cardiovascular preferred. Strong account management skills, superior selling competencies, and proven sales performance track record. Effective cross‑functional teamwork with a positive mindset and can‑do attitude.
