Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive client assessments and ongoing evaluations.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to devise comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Follow up proactively with healthcare providers for clients requiring hospital admission, ensuring continuity of care.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to identify and mitigate behaviors that could hinder the recovery process.

• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers, helping them manage and understand their loved ones' mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work as an LMHC will involve a diverse array of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and trauma-related disorders. Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.

• A valid LMHC licensure in New York State.

• Demonstrable experience as a Mental Health Counselor or in a similar role focused on providing therapeutic support.

• Comprehensive knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects, enabling informed discussions with clients about their treatment options.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, necessary for effective client interaction and collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
