Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of children and adolescents to determine their specific needs and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.

• Offer intervention strategies during mental health crises, providing immediate support for affected children and their families.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and available community resources.

• Maintain precise, confidential documentation of patient information in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate actively in team discussions, case reviews, and ongoing professional development activities.

• Stay updated on current research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on a youthful client base, including children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. You will work with patients who may be dealing with anxiety disorders, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other behavioral issues. The therapist's role is crucial in developing strategies that not only address the immediate mental health concerns but also equip young people with the skills needed for long-term resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure in Illinois as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT.

Compensation and Benefits\n
