Work Environment\n

The Oracle Counseling Center operates as a community health clinic, providing a range of mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. This position is remote, which allows for flexibility in working arrangements while maintaining a strong commitment to team collaboration. Counselors typically work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the potential for flexible scheduling based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs and goals of each patient, resulting in tailored treatment plans that address their specific circumstances.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, to support individuals, couples, and families in achieving their mental health goals.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that help clients connect, share experiences, and learn coping strategies in a community setting.
\n
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure holistic and continuous care for all patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services during mental health emergencies, utilizing effective de-escalation techniques and support strategies.
\n
• Educate clients on mental health challenges, treatment options, and available community resources, fostering awareness and empowerment.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records as per legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

• Stay informed about current research and innovations in mental health therapy to deliver the most effective and impactful care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with diverse populations experiencing a wide range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and substance abuse challenges. Our clients come from various backgrounds and life experiences, allowing you to apply culturally competent approaches in your therapeutic practice and making a significant difference in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health conditions, effective treatments, and best practices in counseling.
\n
• Experience in conducting comprehensive assessments and formulating individualized treatment plans.
\n
• Ability to facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions successfully.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to create a trusting therapeutic alliance with clients.

• Sound judgment and a keen understanding of professional ethics and boundaries.
\n
• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
\n
• A commitment to working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team context.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting.

• Training in specialized therapeutic modalities or certifications in evidence-based practices.

• Experience with diverse patient populations and knowledge of community resources.

Compensation and Benefits\n
