Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (state credentials required)
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Flexible attitude and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored lesson plans to meet varying student abilities and IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Foster a safe and supportive classroom culture that encourages growth, independence, and social-emotional development
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development opportunities
