About the Position

Job Title: Med/Surg Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30); Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of permanent experience in specialty License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required Must-Have: - 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for - Active required certifications in hand at the time of submission - Reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for required Description: Med/Surg Tele RN. Potential to float to units to care for the same patient population. Day/Night rotating shifts from 7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm. Shifts may be variable if needed to meet operational needs. MUST have 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for. MUST have an Ohio license or compact license in hand at the time of submission. AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Traveler must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. Traveler will receive a maximum of 2 attempts to pass the assessments. All references must be from assignments worked within the past 12 months. Background checks will be reviewed, and no traveler with an open case will be accepted. All travelers must be nicotine-free, except for nurses and CSTs, who are temporarily exempt. Negative 10-panel drug screen, including nicotine, required within 12 months prior to start. Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to facilities for 1 year from their previous end date. Candidates may extend with the client for a period of 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required. Travel candidates who do not complete annual competency requirements will be considered non-compliant. Modules completion required pre-start and annually, with time varying by specialty.
