Orthopedic Physical Therapist | Outpatient Care Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at VIP Physical Therapy & Wellness in Plainfield, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' physical conditions to identify specific needs and performance deficits.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on rehabilitation goals such as improving mobility, strength, and functional independence.
• Administer advanced therapeutic modalities and techniques designed to facilitate recovery and alleviate pain.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, home care, and lifestyle adaptations to promote long-term health benefits.
• Participate in clinical teaching and mentorship, guiding interns and new therapists in best practices and therapeutic techniques.
• Prepare and present at least one in-service training session annually to enhance the knowledge base of the team.
• Collaborate on clinical research projects to advance our evidence-based approach and optimize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your personalized approach will cater to individuals of all ages, from young athletes seeking to regain their competitive edge to older adults aiming to sustain their mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an orthopedic environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly desirable.
• Prior experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to execute evidence-based practice in rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary ranging from USD 110,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
