Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at BCHC, you will undertake the following responsibilities:

• Establish strong rapport through active listening and effective communication with patients, families, school staff, and other team members, adapting your approach to meet their individual preferences.

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that includes behavioral health and primary care professionals to address the comprehensive needs of students.

• Conduct brief, evidence-based screenings for mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse, ensuring timely follow-ups and referrals for further evaluation as necessary.
\n
• Develop and manage a caseload of students, providing follow-up interventions to support their mental health goals.
\n
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMRs) to document patient encounters, ensuring all records are completed within 48 hours and are continuously integrated into patient care plans.

• Create and implement individualized care plans to facilitate access to appropriate services and resources, actively exchanging information with all stakeholders involved in the student's care.
\n
• Safeguard patient confidentiality and privacy in all aspects of communication and documentation practices.
\n
• Participate in supervision, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
\n
• Actively engage with community resources, facilitating students' connection to necessary support services and fostering empowerment.

• Other responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.

Your focus will primarily be on students within the school setting, often from underserved backgrounds. Understanding their unique challenges, including socio-economic barriers and mental health issues, is crucial. You will work to provide compassionate care, using trauma-informed frameworks to support these young individuals effectively, while also engaging their families and educational staff as partners in care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in a related Behavioral Health field is required.

• You must hold a current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification.

• CPR or BLS certification is necessary for this role.

• At least 3 years of experience working in the behavioral health field, ideally in settings similar to a school environment.
