Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, hourly position offering a competitive compensation package, including a starting base rate of $19.00 per hour plus service charges. Benefits include: Medical, dental, and life insurance Employee resort discounts 401(k) retirement plan (eligible after one year) A supportive team environment with opportunities to grow Job Summary: Banquet Cook I is responsible for the daily preparation of high-quality food items for banquet events. This is the top Banquet Cook position and is distinguished from other cook positions by a higher level of experience and culinary skill, the ability to consistently produce high-quality food, and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume production environment. Job Duties: Prepare food items for banquet events according to established standards and specifications Set up and maintain workstations according to banquet and property standards Fabricate meats, fish and poultry for portioning and production. Conduct pre-service checks and complete required inventory documentation Manage and maintain appropriate prep and par levels Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner. Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications Restock food and supplies as needed throughout shift. Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations while following all safety procedures Prepare food appropriately accordingly for guests with food allergies and/or intolerances. Maintain food quality and safety through proper sanitation, cleaning, covering, labeling, and storage procedures Remain productive and prepare for future needs as time allows Respond positively and promptly to guest, supervisor, and team requests and feedback Uphold a safe working environment. Contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen environment Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements: 5 plus years of experience cooking in a high-quality restaurant, hotel, or resort. Culinary degree preferred. Banquet Cook I is responsible for the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. Banquet Cook I must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment, while maintaining the organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively. Banquet Cook I must be prepared to work as a productive team member in a dynamic, fast paced work environment and follow all safety procedures.
