Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough initial consultations and mental health evaluations to develop personalized client profiles.

• Creating and monitoring tailored treatment plans that address individual client needs and goals.
\n
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote recovery.
\n
• Documenting all interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in a detailed manner within EHR systems, such as AVATAR.
\n
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.
\n
• Preparing clients and their families for transitions in care or supports, including referrals and aftercare resources.
\n
• Participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to remain updated with the latest mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a licensed mental health counselor at Healthy Wave, you will work with a diverse client demographic, ranging from children to adults, who may be facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Your role will involve addressing not only their immediate mental health needs but also providing skills and coping mechanisms to improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Nevada.

• Successful completion of examinations such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to engage clients throughout their treatment journey.

• Demonstrated understanding of mental health principles and best practices, particularly as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Previous experience in a clinical mental health setting, with a history of developing and implementing treatment plans.

• A solid understanding of psychotropic medications and their impact on mental health treatment.

• Experience in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
