Description What You'll Do

• Conduct an array of routine and advanced clinical laboratory assessmentsranging from chemistry to immunologyfollowing established guidelines.
• Evaluate test results for precision, rectify discrepancies, and perform necessary preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for diagnostic testing as necessary.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, guide new staff members or students, and contribute to maintaining high laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a tidy, safe work environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree with an accompanying ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) should be obtained within one year of employment.
