Logistics Account Manager

Logistics Account Manager – Sales & Client Services Our Client is seeking a Logistics Account Manager to build and nurture long-term, trust-based relationships with our customers. This role ensures the quality delivery of logistics services while actively identifying new sales opportunities. The Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between our clients and our internal cross-functional teams — driving growth, retention, and exceptional service at every touchpoint.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer account management matters. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships grounded in trust and reliability. Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profitability and client satisfaction. Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions aligned with customer needs and strategic objectives. Clearly communicate progress on monthly/quarterly initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders. Drive new business growth through upselling and cross-selling with existing clients; identify improvement opportunities to meet sales quotas. Develop and work leads to cultivate new business opportunities. Manage customer pipeline data and activity records within the CRM system. Forecast and track key account metrics including quarterly sales results and annual forecasts. Prepare regular account status reports for internal leadership. Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the assigned territory. Assist with complex client requests and serve as an escalation resource when needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or equivalent role. Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization. Comprehensive background in logistics including Parcel, LTL, FTL, Freight Forwarding, and related transportation modes. Working knowledge of Parcel and Freight contract structures and RFP processes. Solid experience with Microsoft Excel and relational database tools. CRM experience required (Salesforce or equivalent). Proven ability to deliver client-focused solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple account projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Monson Group
