Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients to identify specific psychological and emotional needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on issues such as grief, loss, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to create and implement tailored care plans that address each client's unique circumstances.

• Provide psychoeducation to both staff and families on best practices for enhancing the emotional well-being of seniors.

• Implement innovative therapeutic interventions including cognitive stimulation programs and resilience-building workshops.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on the geriatric population, encompassing clients who are navigating complex issues related to aging, such as chronic illness, dementia, and major life changes. Your empathetic approach will play a critical role in helping clients cope with the emotional impacts of these challenges. You will work with individuals and groups, incorporating family members when appropriate to ensure a comprehensive support network.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in the state of Florida.

Compensation and Benefits\n
