Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized trauma-informed counseling to clients across various demographics, ensuring each session meets the unique needs and goals outlined in treatment plans.

• Integrate Christian counseling approaches into sessions for clients seeking spiritual guidance, creating a faith-based therapeutic environment.

• Engage in community networking initiatives to build your caseload and establish new referral sources, representing the center in various professional settings.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring timely entry of progress notes into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

• Communicate effectively with the center director regarding scheduling conflicts, client feedback, and any other pertinent matters to support seamless operations.

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families, primarily focusing on those in need of trauma-informed services. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field is essential.

• Must hold an independently licensed designation as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Washington, D.C. Candidates seeking licensure should be within 200 hours of completing their residency.

• Possession of dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is highly desirable.
\n
• Proficiency or training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is required, or you should be willing to complete EMDR basic training within three months of hire.

• Strong understanding of Biblical counseling techniques is necessary, alongside a solid knowledge of various therapeutic interventions.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, enabling effective collaboration with clients and professionals alike.

• A compassionate and empathetic approach to counseling is vital, along with a strong commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of one year of professional experience in trauma counseling is required. Experience in faith-oriented counseling settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
